At The4 Studio, we are committed to delivering high-quality digital products and providing reliable customer support. As all items sold are digital goods, this Refund Policy is designed to clarify when refunds may or may not be granted, in alignment with Envato’s refund rules and additional protections for The4.

1. General Principles

All The4 products are digital items and cannot be physically returned.

Refund eligibility follows Envato Market rules and local consumer laws (if applicable).

Customers must provide accurate and complete information when requesting a refund.

Envato’s purchase age limitations:

Up to 180 days for supported items.

Up to 30 days for unsupported items or items not downloaded within 30 days of purchase.

2. When The4 Accepts Refund Requests

We will provide a refund in the following specific situations:

2.1. The item is “not as described” or does not function correctly

You are eligible for a refund if:

The item does not match its description or preview on Envato.

A major technical issue exists that The4 cannot resolve within a reasonable timeframe.

(Note: Demo content, sample images, and licensed assets are not included in the theme purchase.)

2.2. The item contains a security vulnerability

Refunds apply when:

A vulnerability is confirmed and cannot be patched promptly.

The4 fails to release a security fix in an appropriate timeframe.

2.3. Support was promised but not provided

If you purchased:

An item that includes support, or

An Item Support Extension,
…and The4 fails to deliver support as required by Envato’s Item Support Policy, then you may be refunded for the theme or the support extension accordingly.

(Unused Support Extensions remain non-refundable as per Envato rules.)

2.4. Items not downloaded

If:

You have not downloaded the item within 30 days, and

You can verify this with your purchase code,
you may be eligible for a refund.

3. When The4 Does NOT Provide Refunds

These rules protect The4 from unfair or abusive refund claims.
Neither Envato nor The4 is required to issue a refund in the following cases:

❌ 3.1. You downloaded the item but no longer want it

Examples:

Project canceled

You decided to switch to another theme

You purchased for someone else but did not use it

❌ 3.2. The item did not meet your personal expectations

Such as:

Expecting features not listed in the description

Considering the design “not suitable” for your taste

Comparing the theme to premium apps or custom development

❌ 3.3. You purchased the wrong item or changed your mind

Refund is not applicable for mistaken purchases or accidental orders.

❌ 3.4. You lack the required skills to use the item

Examples include:

Not knowing how to use Shopify

Lacking CSS/Liquid/basic web skills

Difficulty configuring the theme

(The4 documentation and support can assist with usage, but lack of expertise is not a refund reason.)

❌ 3.5. You refuse to provide information for troubleshooting

Refund may be denied if you do not:

Supply screenshots, videos, or access for investigation

Cooperate with our support process

Provide clear details of the issue

❌ 3.6. You cannot access the item because you didn’t download it in time

If the item is removed from Envato or your download period expired.

❌ 3.7. Your purchase is older than the allowed period

Over 180 days for supported items

Over 30 days for unsupported items or unused downloads

(Envato enforces these limits strictly.)

4. Support Before Refund

Before requesting a refund, we strongly encourage you to contact our support team.

Over 85% of technical issues are resolved within 24–48 hours.
We prioritize fixing issues quickly so you can continue using the product without interruption.

5. How Refund Requests Are Processed

All refunds must be submitted through Envato’s official Refund Request system:

Submit a refund request on Envato Market.

Envato forwards the request to The4 for review.

If an agreement cannot be reached, Envato will step in to evaluate the case.

Envato’s final decision is binding according to their policies.

6. Protections & Benefits for The4

This policy is designed not only to inform customers but also to safeguard The4 against unfair refunds:

✔ Clear limitation of valid refund scenarios
✔ Emphasis on support and bug-fixing before considering refunds
✔ Requires evidence (screenshots/video/staff access) for all technical claims
✔ Prevents refunds based on subjective opinions or unmet personal expectations
✔ Refuses refunds due to lack of user expertise
✔ Ensures customers must cooperate in troubleshooting
✔ Ensures Envato’s strict time limits are respected
