Product information tabs

The Product Information Tabs feature lets you add different types of product information, including:

  • Collapsible sections

  • In-the-box icon + text items

  • Content blocks

  • Downloads

Some tabs can contain content directly from the theme editor, while others use product metafields and metaobjects to provide product-specific content.

1. Tab - Collapsible

  • Add static content: Add Block > Collapsible Row > Row Content to add the content that you need to display.

Display the same content for all product pages.

  • Add product-specific content: Add Block > Collapsible Row > Row Content > Connect dynamic source.

Display different content for individual product pages.

2. Tab - In the box

This tab uses the metafield theme.product_box to display a list of icon + text items next to the image/video.

Step 1: Create metaobject

Create a metaobject, for example Product box, with the following fields:

  • Icon

  • Text

Step 2: Add metaobject entries

Create entries for the Product box metaobject. Each entry represents one item that can be displayed in the product box.

Step 3: Create the product metafield

Create a product metafield with:

  • Namespace and Key: theme.product_box

  • Type: List

  • Reference: Product box metaobject

Step 4: Assign entries to products

For each product:

  • Open the product in Shopify Admin.

  • Find the Product box metafield.

  • Select the relevant metaobject entries.

  • Save the product.

3. Tab - Content

The Content tab lets you add content directly from the theme editor.

You can use blocks such as:

  • Text

  • Image

Add and arrange the blocks according to the content you want to display for the product.

4. Tab: Downloads

The Downloads tab lets you display downloadable documents or files for each product. It uses a product metafield connected to a Document Download metaobject.

Step 1: Create a metaobject

Create a metaobject, for example Document Download, with fields such as:

  • Text

  • File

Step 2: Add metaobject entries

Create entries for the Document Download metaobject.

Each entry represents one downloadable document.

Step 3: Create the product metafield

Create a product metafield with:

  • Namespace and Key: theme.download

  • Type: List

  • Reference: Document Download metaobject

Step 4: Assign downloads to products

For each product:

  • Open the product in Shopify Admin.

  • Find the Downloads metafield.

  • Select the relevant document entries.

  • Save the product.
